It is the receptionist's responsibility to create a positive and friendly environment from the first point of contact.
Therefore, applicants must be friendly, out-going, respectful, professional, and understand the customer/patient mindset.
We are a busy, out patient orthopedic physical therapy office with two to three physical therapists in the office at one time.
Multi-tasking is a skill that is essential to success in this position in order to perform the detailed daily tasks required.
Applicants must be very detail oriented with excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities and Duties This position involves answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling patients, handling new patient paperwork, checking and understanding insurance benefits, entering demographics into the EMR, following up on authorizations/prescriptions, collecting co-pays, posting payments, following up on lost patients and tracking plans of care.
Qualifications and Skills Availability to work to include 9 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday.
Previous experience working in a Physical Therapy, Doctor, or Chiropractic office with EMR is preferred.
MUST have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must have excellent customer service, phone, and writing skills.
Must be caring and compassionate with patients.
Need to have a positive attitude and cheerful disposition with patients.
Must be punctual and dependable.
