Sr. Analyst, QC Regulatory Compliance


The Sr. Regulatory Compliance Analyst, working under general supervision, performs assessment and auditing functions in accordance with the Company?s Mortgage Compliance Program to ensure PennyMac is complying with various mortgage-related federal and state regulations.?


Job Responsibilities:


???????????Performs risk assessments and transactional testing of loans selected for QC to evaluate, analyze, and assess risk, marketability and to detect errors and omissions, as well as fraud and violation of line of business policies and procedures. The audit includes, but is not limited to, review of data and documentation for accuracy and consistency, systems analysis, regulatory compliance assessment and investor program requirements, as applicable.


???????????Gather, investigate, and review additional information and conduct additional research and/or testing as necessary, including targeted reviews.??Ensure audits are performed in a timely manner in accordance with established procedures and investor guidelines.?


???????????Maintain and update various logs and QC databases to meet departmental and auditing requirements.


???????????Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Job Description


  • Coordination and preparedness for agency, investor and state exams, and CFPB origination and servicing requirements

  • Collaboration with designated business unit compliance managers, Legal and ERM to ensure all critical requirements are analyzed and gaps remediated.

  • Support all key mortgage compliance activities, such as required reporting / certifications (Fair Lending/HMDA, HAMP), corporate training, and real-time support to business units on compliance matters.

  • Performs risk assessments and develops project plans to support exam activities (60%)

  • Gather, investigate, and review additional information and conduct additional research and/or testing as necessary, including targeted reviews. Ensure audits are performed in a timely manner in accordance with established procedures and agency, federal and state guidelines.? (30%)

  • Additional duties as assigned (10%)

  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
