Lube Technician


Performs service and installation activities associated with store products and services in an accurate and timely manner per Jiffy Lube JTSS procedures.

  • Drives vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Drains oil and replaces oil filter.
  • Lubricates vehicles.
  • Cleans windows.
  • Inflates tires.
  • Vacuums vehicles.
  • Checks and fills various fluids.
  • Checks and replaces various filters.
  • Writes work orders.
  • Look up information in PMM system for various applications.
  • Explains services and products to customers.
  • Looks up information for various applications.
  • Operates point of sale hardware and software.
  • Displays positive attitude at all times towards customers and fellow employees.
  • Wear PPE equipment, including safety glasses, when required.
  • Maintain JTTS certification as directed by Company standards.
    (In case of short-staffing, as required)

  • Answers telephones.
  • Stocks shelves.
  • Cleans facilities, tools and equipment.
  • Greets customers.
  • Rings out customers.
    Valid driver's license; ability to reach and work in awkward postures; able to transport oneself from onework level to another; able to move materials from one height to another; able to read and write; good verbal communication skills.

    Don't Be Fooled

    The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
